Gaurikund: Gaurikund is a significant destination located at a distance of 5 kilometers from Sonprayag and situated at an altitude of 1982 meters. This charming place holds both religious and natural allure, making it a popular stop for pilgrims and trekkers on their way to Kedarnath.

One of the highlights of Gaurikund is its hot water pond, where visitors can take a holy bath. The waters of this hot spring are believed to have purifying and healing properties. It is customary for pilgrims to cleanse themselves in these therapeutic waters before embarking on the trek to Kedarnath.

Kedarnath: Kedarnath is a divine pilgrimage site and one of the holiest destinations for devotees of Lord Shiva. It is home to the revered Kedarnath shrine, which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, representing the divine manifestations of Lord Shiva. The name "Kedar" is another epithet for Lord Shiva, symbolizing his role as both the protector and the destroyer. However, Lord Shiva, in the form of a bull, repeatedly eluded them and finally took refuge at Kedarnath. As the Pandavas followed him, he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining parts of Lord Shiva appeared at four other locations, and these places are worshipped as his manifestations.

The arms appeared at Tungnath, the face at Rudranath, the belly at Madhmaheshwar, and his locks (hair) with the head at Kalpeshwar. Together, Kedarnath and these four shrines are known as Panch Kedar, forming an important pilgrimage circuit for devotees of Lord Shiva.

As we make our way back to Guptkashi, take in the serene landscapes and the peaceful atmosphere of the region. The descent from Kedarnath will allow you to reflect on the profound spiritual experiences you encountered during your stay at the sacred shrine.

Upon reaching Guptkashi, we will check you into a comfortable hotel where you can relax and unwind. Guptkashi's tranquil surroundings provide a peaceful ambiance for you to reflect upon the sacred journey you've undertaken.

Today, after a delightful breakfast, we will proceed with the journey towards Haridwar. En route, we will make a stop at the spiritual town of Rishikesh, known for its serene ambiance and sacred sites.

In Rishikesh, you will have the opportunity to visit two iconic landmarks - Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. These suspension bridges, suspended over the holy Ganges River, offer panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes and the flowing river below. Stroll across the bridges, immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere, and witness the spiritual aura that Rishikesh exudes.

After exploring Rishikesh and enjoying the tranquility of the place, we will continue our drive to Haridwar. Upon reaching Haridwar, we will drop you off at the railway station, where you can board your train.
